Always Listening

A Broadcast Communications graduate, Carla has an extensive background in both media and communications. She has handled PR and Marketing Coordination for a variety of organizations, both in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. Her respected career as a broadcast journalist spans a decade in radio and television, from Atlantic Canada to Vancouver. Her experience in media relations includes extensive knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal government relations, corporate communications and not-for-profit event management, as well as consultant work for a host of organizations, including Revenue Canada and Husky Energy. A self-proclaimed news junkie, Carla has her finger on the pulse of the rapidly changing world of communications, including social media. Her role at Pilot° covers a wide area including research, analysis, project management and strategic vision. In her spare time Carla helps save the world by participating with Rotary International and UNICEF Canada, as well as dabbling in poetry, short story writing and her favourite pastime: taking pictures of her young daughter.
