Jenna is an award-winning journalist and communications professional from Newfoundland and Labrador. Most recently with CBC St. John’s, she covered provincial politics, community issues, and people-first stories that connect public policy to everyday life. Her reporting on housing and addictions earned the Silver Jim MacNeil New Journalist Award at the 2024 Atlantic Journalism Awards—recognizing depth, fairness, and impact in community journalism.
Jenna began her career at the St. John’s Telegram before moving into broadcast and digital reporting, building strong working relationships across government, municipalities, and community organizations. Her experience working in highly visible, trust-sensitive environments makes her especially strong in earned media strategy, message discipline, and translating complex issues into clear, accessible language.
On this engagement, Jenna will lead earned media planning and media relations support; helping shape briefing materials, stakeholder messaging, and outreach that reinforces credibility, reduces risk, and keeps public-facing communications calm, factual, and consistent.
